In a frankly pathetic attempt to buy some time whilst my batteries recharge, I offer you this existentialist wonder: One Froggy Evening. The greatest cartoon ever made. (It was selected by the United States Library of Congress in 2003 for preservation in the National Film Registry and deemed "culturally significant".)

I know make your bread too. Well, I've made it once, but would want to make it and eat it all the time. I see on your twitter link that you're interested in nations and nationhood. As I don't have a twitter account, if I may recommend Eric Hobsbawm's and Benedict Anderson's stuff (but you may have already read them).

Just read the article in the Telegraph about you. You've got no idea how similar our stories are...I walk home from my minimum wage job excited as to what I can make for dinner from empty food cupboards - I always pleasantly surprise myself.
