bacon sandwich

serves one
3 or 4 rashers of streaky bacon, grilled until crispy
1 small tomato, thinly sliced
2 thick slices of white farmhouse bread
black pepper
hp sauce

You bite into the yielding, doughy bread and crunch on the crispy bacon. The pepper and HP sauce hit the palette with a kick. The cold of the tomato contrasts with the hot rashers. You want another one straight away. And your builder's tea has to be in a mug.
