juice
Before my home was repossessed, the good people at Southwark Council stored all my furniture and household items. As a result, I still have my citrus press, blender and juicing machine. I'd say the first two were pretty much essential in any kitchen, but not everybody has, or can afford, the latter. But if you can (and can face the awful but necessary task of cleaning the bugger immediately after using) you'll never regret the purchase.
Pretty much anything goes here, from the purity of the juice of a single fruit to using up whatever is left in your fruit bowl; juicing is often a quick delivery system for all the fruit you haven't got around to eating to during the week. At least it is for me.
Try combinations like kiwi, grape and apple, or pears and blueberries, or plums, mango and blueberries, or strawberries, peaches and pears, or melon and mango, or this (my favourite ever juice):
